LINK Mobility Group enters the Hungarian market by acquiring SeeMe

LINK Mobility Group AS (“LINK”), Europe’s leading and fastest growing provider of B2C mobile messaging and mobile services, has entered into a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Hungarian mobile messaging company Dream Interactive Ltd., operating under the name SeeMe (“SeeMe”).

SeeMe was established in 2004, and is located in Budapest, Hungary. SeeMe is known as the market leader as well as being a highly reliable mobile messaging provider for SMBs in Hungary due to its efficient self-service platform and messaging solutions.

“I am happy to announce that we have now entered the Hungarian mobile messaging market through the acquisition of SeeMe. This is a market, which experiences strong growth with a high demand for advanced mobile messaging and solutions services. SeeMe has a strong portfolio of SMB clients in the local market, and we see a good potential to grow the overall customer base in Hungary through increased penetration of both existing and new services. LINK has now expanded its customer base in Europe through organic growth and acquisitions over the last twelve months to more than 21,000 B2C customers”, says Arild E. Hustad, CEO of LINK.

“The acquisition of Dream Interactive opens a new chapter in SeeMe’s life. We are proud of the business success we have achieved with our SMB focused online messaging services and our highly optimized transactional messaging solutions relied upon by the biggest global names within the industry. As part of the LINK family our market leading service has a bright future with strong technology, product development and telco synergies”, Andras Pfaff, the founder of SeeMe, comments.

Baker McKenzie (Budapest) has acted as legal advisors, while BDO has acted as financial advisors to LINK Mobility Group AS during the transaction.
