Meet Raquel Barbosa, Treasury Technician - Finance
Here is the story of Raquel Barbosa, who has been an essential part of LINK Mobility since November 2020. For more than five years, she has been responsible for Treasury Management in Western Europe, ensuring that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. With a strong sense of structure and a practical mindset, Raquel plays a key role in keeping the financial engine of LINK moving forward.
Her journey at LINK is defined by responsibility, trust and teamwork. From managing daily cash flow to coordinating with banks across Western Europe, she makes sure that payments are made on time, balances are accurate and deadlines are always met. It is detailed work that requires focus, precision and a calm approach, qualities that Raquel brings to the table every day.
Life beyond spreadsheets and bank accounts
Outside the office, Raquel’s world looks very different. Her free time revolves around family, close friends and the simple joys of everyday life.
She loves long walks in the forest with her dog, Rumbo; a small mixed-breed companion who has been part of the family for years. Rumbo came into her life through a neighbor of her parents who could no longer take care of him. Since then, he has become an inseparable part of the family, recently celebrating his eighth birthday.
Home is her favorite place to recharge. Reading, quiet moments and spending time with loved ones help her balance a role that otherwise revolves around numbers and deadlines. She is also the mother of a one-year-old son, Gabriel, who keeps life at home lively and wonderfully chaotic.
What did you dream of becoming when you were a child?
I always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. I have always loved animals, but I think I would have suffered too much seeing them in pain. Life took me in another direction - and I am very happy it did.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation! Sometimes I feel like you need to be in two places at once: at home, at work, everywhere. Teleportation would make life a lot easier
A financial heartbeat at LINK Mobility
Raquel joined LINK at a moment when she was looking for new challenges and broader experience within finance. The international environment and opportunities for growth made the company an exciting next step.
How did you first end up at LINK?
I was looking for a new opportunity to broaden my experience in finance. LINK felt like the right place - an international company where I could learn and grow. And I was right. Five years later, I’m still here and still learning.
As Treasury Manager for Western Europe, her days are structured yet never predictable.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
The first thing I do every morning is check the bank accounts to make sure everything is in order. I ensure that liquidity is sufficient, payments are made on time and deadlines, including taxes, are met. There is always something new to solve with banks or financial institutions. Every day is different.
Her role demands attention to detail and proactive thinking. She describes herself as practical: someone who prefers to get important tasks done immediately rather than postponing them. Her colleagues might even joke that she is always ready to approve the next payment.

Why have you chosen to stay at LINK?
It’s the atmosphere and the people. We work with colleagues from different countries and cultures, but there is a real sense of family. Everyone is willing to help, and we face challenges together as a team.

She especially values the balance between working from home and spending time at the office in Spain. While flexibility makes everyday life easier, she believes that personal interaction adds something irreplaceable.
What is one small routine at LINK that makes a difference?
Every morning at the office, we share a cup of tea and have a small chat before starting the day. It’s something simple, but it sets a positive tone and makes everything easier.
