    SMS has long been a central communication channel for Bris, proving highly effective in reach and conversion. However, the organization wanted to explore more interactive and visually engaging formats to connect with donors. Bris needed a way to modernize donor outreach while maintaining full audience coverage whilst holding onto the reliability of SMS.

    Launching interactive giving campaigns using RCS

    To meet this goal, Bris piloted two donor campaigns using RCS (Rich Communication Services), the next generation of SMS, which enables interactive messages featuring images, videos, buttons, and carousels. To ensure complete reach, SMS served as a fallback channel for non-RCS-compatible phones.

    Securing higher engagement, more donations, and valuable insights for future campaigns

    Bris was among the first fundraising organizations in Sweden to test RCS as a campaign channel. The results were highly promising:

    • 26% clicked the RCS campaign link vs. 15% for SMS

    • 44% of RCS clicks converted into a donation

    • 63% of SMS clicks converted into a donation

    • Higher average donation value from RCS recipients

    • Real-time tracking and intuitive campaign creation in MyLINK Studio

    While both RCS and SMS drove strong results, RCS achieved higher engagement and a higher average gift value. Bris sees RCS as a key part of the future of donor communication and looks forward to expanded reach once Apple introduces RCS support in Sweden.
