About La ONCE

The Spanish National Organization for the Blind (ONCE), aiming to promote the normalization of life for all people with disabilities, employs over 20,000 individuals with diverse disabilities, many of whom are visually impaired. They provide jobs to manage their retail points of sale located nationwide.

Objective

ONCE sales agents are spread across thousands of locations nationwide, making effective communication with all of them crucial for the organization's smooth operation. They require accessible channels that accommodate the visual, auditory, or physical disabilities of the sellers, enabling simultaneous and real-time information dissemination to all.

Solution

To communicate effectively with all its collaborators, ONCE utilizes two primary channels: Point of Sale Terminals (TPV) and WhatsApp. Through WhatsApp, ONCE sends timely information to all sales agents such as internal notices, reports of personal and widespread incidents, or any issues with the TPVs, thereby facilitating daily operations.

WhatsApp as the preferred channel

Within WhatsApp, there is also bidirectional communication where both the agent and central administration can exchange voice notes, images, or videos to foster conversation. To send thousands of messages simultaneously via WhatsApp, ONCE collaborates with Link Mobility Spain to integrate the WhatsApp Business API with their internal systems for automated messaging. Additionally, they benefit from the advanced business features offered by the application.

Results

The integration with the WhatsApp Business API has enabled ONCE to automate communication with thousands of mobile devices used by its collaborators, streamlining the dissemination of relevant information and ensuring effective communication.

Through collaboration with LINK Mobility, ONCE has successfully delivered thousands of messages to its collaborators. Following this success, they consider WhatsApp to be an invaluable tool for timely and effective communication of important information.
