LINK Mobility joins the CEO Commitment by signing the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Pledge alongside 40 other organizations

LINK Mobility has taken a public stand by signing the CEO Commitment’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Pledge, joining 40 other organizations representing 25 industries and over 18,000 working professionals.

The CEO Commitment is a joint initiative of MAK and ODA, two organizations with the shared mission to increase diversity in the workforce.

MAK utilizes systemic change to improve and progress diversity and inclusion for Nordic businesses. ODA is a nonprofit network organization for women in tech with more than 10,000 members and 50 strategic partners who believe in the power of diversity and support the mission to reach 40% female representation in tech roles by 2025.

The CEO Commitment and Pledge

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Pledge brings together key leaders, decision-makers, and personalities from businesses and organizations who believe in the value of diversity in the workplace and are willing to take a stand to prioritize it on a strategic level. Increasing diversity and inclusion in business requires solutions both within and across organizations, so the group will facilitate access to the necessary knowledge and tools and build arenas to share knowledge across organizations.

Workplace diversity is understanding, accepting, and valuing differences between people, including those of different races, ethnicities, genders, ages, religions, disabilities, and sexual orientations, and those with differences in education, personalities, skill sets, experiences, and knowledge bases.

LINK Mobility is committed to building and delivering a solid diversity and inclusion strategy to attract and retain top talent, deliver better together, and drive innovative results. The Pledge focuses on goal-setting, structured approaches to diversity and inclusion, and role modeling, which is critical to building a culture of inclusion.

Lin Ackema, Chief People & Strategy Officer, and Christine Feehan, Internal Communication and HR Specialist, are LINK’s signing representatives for the Pledge.

At LINK, we regard diversity, equity, and inclusion as levers for innovation, development, and profitability. We believe the best ideas emerge from teams comprised of diverse backgrounds and ways of thinking, and we move beyond mere acceptance to full inclusion so our employees can show up to work as their whole selves.

“LINK Mobility will thrive in the future only if we continue to reinforce that the very best talent for our organization and our business are people with the attitude and ability to make their colleagues, themselves, and our customers better every single day, independent of physical appearance, inherited traits, or personal beliefs,” says Lin Ackema on why the CEO Commitment is so important. “Equal opportunity should be afforded to everyone, but unfortunately, it’s not. If we want to be part of the change we wish to see – and I do – then we all need to put in more effort to get there. It takes dedication and focus, so it’s encouraging to join a like-minded cohort of leaders working towards this in their respective companies.”

As an HR team at LINK, we are excited to engage in this important initiative for the CEO Commitment where we hope to contribute to the DEI toolbox and sharing of best practices across organizations. We will also continuously review and revise our internal strategies surrounding talent acquisition and organizational culture to improve our employee experience.
